Some stones are born to take centre stage. This aquamarine is one of them: its clarity and its uncommon cut inspired a custom project, a choker designed to complement it without ever competing with it.
A Stone That Shapes the Design
It’s rare to work with an aquamarine of this quality: intense, even colour, exceptional purity, and proportions that naturally make it the centrepiece of a jewel. When a stone has this kind of presence, the designer’s approach changes: you don’t start from an abstract idea for a necklace, you start from the stone itself, and build everything around it.
That’s why the new Giverso choker began with a careful study of proportions: the setting had to enhance the aquamarine’s clarity, letting the light pass through it, without weighing it down with too much metal or too many details.
Canadian Ethical Diamonds, for a Luminous Contrast
Alongside the aquamarine, we chose Canadian ethical diamonds, traceable from mine to setting. Their brilliant white creates a delicate contrast with the blue of the central stone, adding light without ever drawing the eye away from the choker’s true protagonist.
It’s a combination close to our heart: pairing stones with character with materials whose origin we truly know, for a jewel that’s beautiful to look at and right to wear.
From Design to the Turin Laboratory
Like every custom Giverso creation, this choker too was born in our Turin laboratory: first the design, then the millimetre-precise choice of setting, and finally hand-finishing, step by step, until the stone finds its final mount.
It’s a process that takes time and dialogue: every detail — the length of the chain, the point where the aquamarine should fall, the way the diamonds accompany it — is defined together with the person who will wear the jewel.
