\nAcademy of Sciences<\/p>\n

The Palace of the Academy of Sciences is an impressive 17th-century building in Turin with a surface area of 60,594 m\u00b2. Its facade dominates the street of the same name, while one side borders the southwest edge of Piazza Carignano.<\/p>\n

Originally intended to host the Collegio dei Nobili (a college for young heirs of the Piedmontese nobility), in 1787, by royal decree of Vittorio Amedeo III of Savoy, King of Sardinia, it became the seat of the Royal Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n
